When handling raw chicken or turkey, you absolutely do not need to rinse raw poultry before cooking, that is just a myth. Rinsing poultry only spreads bacteria and the chance of salmonella into your sink! Instead, just take raw poultry straight from the package into the cooking pan. Then simply clean up any splashes and wash your hands with soap and hot water.
